CalcMenu

One approved menu. One click. Every screen updated.

Today, updating the menu on the lobby screen, cafeteria kiosk, printed card and buffet labels takes several hours and as many people. CalcMenu centralises this flow: the chef creates the menu, the manager approves, and publication simultaneously reaches digital screens, Evolis printers (menu cards, meal vouchers) and paper PDFs — with correct allergens and nutrition values on every medium.

Before / after

Without CalcMenu

Your displayed menus no longer match the kitchen. Customers see unavailable dishes.

With CalcMenu

Digital signage follows your menus in real time. What's on screen is what can be served.

Why this feature matters

This feature is built directly into the CalcMenu recipe and menu database. The same data serves kitchen, service, and administration—no re-entry, no paper versions.

What it gives you

Real-time digital display

CalcMenu pushes the approved menu to your screens (TV, wall tablets, reception kiosks) via a dedicated URL or HDMI integration. Change a dish in CalcMenu, all screens update in under 30 seconds.

Evolis printing — menu cards & meal vouchers

CalcMenu generates print files for Evolis printers: laminated menu cards for tables, named meal vouchers for the buffet, cafeteria access badges. The data (dishes, allergens, prices) comes directly from CalcMenu — no manual entry.

Paper publishing — PDF & printed cards

For establishments that keep a paper menu (gourmet hotels, hospital catering, restaurant cards), CalcMenu automatically generates the laid-out PDF from your templates — with up-to-date allergens, nutrition values and prices.

How it works

1

1. The chef creates and submits the menu

In CalcMenu, the chef composes the daily or weekly menu from the recipe database. Allergens, nutrition values and prices are calculated automatically. They submit the menu for approval.

2

2. The manager approves in one click

The F&B manager or kitchen director receives a notification. They check the menu, adjust if needed, and approve. Approval automatically triggers publication to all configured channels.

3

3. All channels update simultaneously

Digital screens (lobby, cafeteria, rooms), Evolis printers (cards, badges, vouchers), paper PDFs (for printing or email): everything updates simultaneously with the same data. One single source of truth, zero de-synchronisation.
